Advance inflation figures for March maintained at 3.6%

SPAIN (Agencies) Annual estimated inflation for March indicate that the CPI (Consumer Price Index) is staying at its predicted level of 3.6%, as it was in February. The estimate points to price rises in food and non-alcoholic beverages balanced against the cost of organized travel, which has come down. Definitive figures are due on April 12 and is expected not to vary much from these advance figures. As to what is called the 'harmonized index' that measures price evolution throughout the Euro Zone, inflation remains at 3.3%, a decimal point less than February's.
